Dennis Stroughmatt, from the little southeastern Illinois town of Albion, was raised on traditional Country and Western Swing music and has spent many years honing his skills through study and performances with some of the greatest legends of Western Swing, Honky-Tonk and Cajun fiddling including Wade Ray (mentor to Willie Nelson), Louisiana Hall of Famer Hadley J Castille, and Buddy Spicher, who was one of the original fiddlers in Ray Price’s Cherokee Cowboys. Stroughmatt, a master French Creole and Western Swing fiddler, is also now known worldwide for his powerful vocals and has won hard earned respect over the past 25 years from his musical peers on stages from New York to Texas.
