Created in 1950 to continue the tradition of Major Glenn Miller’s Army Air Forces dance band, the Airmen of Note consists of 17 active-duty musicians and one vocalist. Stationed at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C., it is one of six musical ensembles that make up the U.S. Air Force Band. Through the years, the Airmen of Note has presented its own brand of big band jazz to audiences via annual tours across the United States, deployments around the world and local performances throughout metropolitan Washington, D.C. Their commitment to musical excellence has earned the respect of the foremost jazz artists from around the globe, leading to many collaborative performances and recordings with such luminaries as Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Williams, Sarah Vaughan and Doc Severinsen. In 1990, the Airmen of Note established the Jazz Heritage Series, featuring the “Note” in concert with legendary icons of jazz. The Jazz Heritage Series is broadcast to millions over National Public Radio, independent jazz radio stations, satellite radio services and the Internet. In addition, the “Note” has a legacy of trend-setting recordings, including “Cool Yule” and “Global Reach,” which both climbed near the top of the JazzWeek radio charts.

As part of The U.S. Air Force Band, the Airmen of Note honors those who have served, inspires American citizens to heightened patriotism and service, and connects the global community on behalf of the U.S. Air Force and the United States. The excellence demonstrated by the Band is a reflection of the excellence displayed by Airmen stationed around the globe. Who will be the next EPC Idol? Singers from across the region are invited to participate in a singing competition to determine who will be the next EPC Idol and the winner of a $1,000 cash prize. Preliminary contests will be held at sponsoring locations with winners of each preliminary contest to take the stage for a night of performances to determine who will be voted the EPC Idol. During the finals at The EPC, audience members will participate in electronic voting to determine which one of the finalists will win the prize money!

Two esteemed acts, Slaughter and Great White, will share the stage for a night of rock! Great White, with a history spanning over four decades, has made a significant impact in classic rock with chart-topping classics like “Once Bitten, Twice Shy” and “Rock Me.” Slaughter, a powerhouse that took the music scene by storm in 1990, is known for its timeless hits including “Up All Night” and “Fly to the Angels.” This collaboration celebrates the enduring legacy of these two legendary bands.

The Randy Travis: More Life Tour features the legendary country singer and his co-star in “The Price,” James Dupré. Randy Travis’s long-time touring band, consisting of Steve Hinson, David Johnson, Lance Dary, Bill Cook, Joe Van Dyke and Herb Shucher along with longtime Tour manager Jeff Davis will rejoin “Hoss,” as they affectionately call Travis, on the road for the first time since right before his stroke in 2013. The show will consist of Dupré and the band performing all 16 of his iconic number ones including “On the Other Hand,” “Forever and Ever, Amen” and “Three Wooden Crosses.” Randy Travis will make a special appearance and VIP passes are available that include a meet and greet with the country icon, himself.

Get ready! Here Come The Mummies! The Mummies is an eight-piece, funk-rock band of 5,000-year-old Egyptian mummies with a one-track mind. Since their discovery, The Mummies have been direct support for P-Funk, Al Green, Mavis Staples, KC and the Sunshine Band, and Cheap Trick, and they have rocked Super Bowl Village, become regulars on “The Bob and Tom Show,” and appeared on “That’s My Jam” with Jimmy Fallon.

Celebrate Hank Williams' 100th birthday with the critically acclaimed tribute, “Hank and My Honky Tonk Heroes.”  Over the years, Jason Petty has had the chance to meet and become friends with those who knew and played with Williams. They shared stories of what Hank and his music meant to them and the history of country music. Jason has translated those stories into a beautiful mosaic of live music and storytelling, taking the audience down memory lane.
